general.
this is a roleplay that is based on the television series glee. yes, we have canons. yes, you can apply as an original character. no, this site does not have to follow the show exactly. in fact, it doesn't have to follow it at all. we'll simply start at a certain point and then, wah-la, creativity allowed! in general, this is an intermediate to advanced roleplay site. nobody is a perfect roleplayer, so don't be afraid to apply if you think your skills are not what we are looking for. this isn't like applying to college--we aren't mean or anything. we want the roleplaying here to be genuine and intelligent, not just choppy sentences added into a paragraph that hardly makes sense. we just ask for everyone to try their best. the same general rules you'll find anywhere apply here as well. no godmoding or powerplaying, obviously. swearing is allowed, just don't overdo it. i'm not going to place a certain rating on this site either. this is high school, we all know what's going down. anything r rated is allowed. putting a warning in your title is appreciated, so those who would rather not read a steamy love scene don't have to. once again, nobody is perfect, including your character. be creative if applying as an original character, and also get creative if you're applying as a canon. obviously, getting a canon is going to mean you're an awesome roleplayer who knows and understands their character. anyways, the biggest rule is to have fun. everyone should be enjoying themselves, not hating their lives. so basically, all general rules apply, but the most important is to have fun!
when applying.
so when you go to join, it doesn't matter what your username is. it could be something completely irrelevant and it still wouldn't matter. make it cookieareyummy for all i care. but after you have posted your finished application and have been accepted can your name be changed. you can do it yourself, or an admin can as well, it really doesn't matter. your character's name must be written in all lowercase letters, first and last. no middle names, because frankly, who goes around introducing themselves with a first, middle and last name? i know i don't. anyways, once you're accepted make sure you post in the face claim and also if you have been accepted as a canon, make sure the admins are up on their game and have made your canon unavailable for others to apply for. after that, you're set to roleplay!
when roleplaying.
i don't want to set a post limit. so don't make me. instead, just try your best on each post. personally, i think mirror posting is the best way, but as long as you are putting forth your full effort into a post, i am fine with it. we all have our bad days. if you go to reply and you know you don't have time and you're just going to rush through it, just hold off. we can be patient. i know i would rather wait for a well written post than a crappy, quick one because then i actually have something to reply to. so no post limit, but just give your full effort all the time. also, try to log on a few times a week. if you have a canon, make it as much as humanly possible for yourself, since you do have an important character. if you aren't willing to commit the time to a canon, then join as an original character! i'm not asking for you to log on and post fifteen times a day. just a few times a week would be nice. and please, if you're going to join and not log on again for weeks, just don't join. try to post a few times a week as well, or at least be involved with the others members. i'm just asking for activity, because i hate when sites go dead, so let's not allow this one to die.
k so yeah, rules suck. but honestly, where haven't you heard these exact same rules a million and two times? they are rules, and they're almost all the same. just follow them and there won't be any problems. it shouldn't be too hard. k, now go have fun!
